Wayne has hosted workshops for consumers, and feels that there should be more "insurance education" for the public. The "more you know, the more likely you will make good decisions regarding your financial security", and he is willing to take the time needed to explain the "hows and whys" of insurance planning. He has also written training programs and hosted training workshops for insurance agents, and is an approved moderator for the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow courses.
Professional Associations
Wayne has been a member of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) for over 40 years, and is a Past President of the Memphis-West TN local chapter (2002-2003). He also served as Regional Vice President for the state association, NAIFA Tennessee, for 6 years (2010-2016), responsible for member activities in the West Tennessee region.
He has received the following awards:
- 2005 NAIFA Memphis Hall of Fame (local chapter)
- 2012 NAIFA Tennessee "Red Adams" Award (state chapter)
- 2018 NAIFA Tennessee Insurance Professional of the Year (state chapter)
- National Quality Award (multi-year qualifier)
Wayne currently serves on the board of directors, and is chairman of the community service committee for the local Memphis-West TN chapter, where he has headed the "Bikes for Kids" holiday project since 2008, when he initiated the program. This project aids the Salvation Army's "Angel Tree" program, and has totaled over $60,000 in donations to buy shiny new bikes for needy area kids. This program was started in memory of insurance industry legend, Lester Rosen CLU, who was a NAIFA member and leader for many years. Lester was also a board member of The Salvation Army for years, and our efforts to support that work continue in his name today.
NAIFA began operations in 1890 as the National Association of Life Underwriters (NALU), and the Memphis chapter was started in 1910. There are about 40,000 members across the U.S.

Professional Designations
Wayne received his LUTCF professional designation in 1987. Individuals that hold the LUTCF® (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) designation have completed a program of study that includes multiple courses focused on ethics, personal life insurance, business life insurance, other insurance planning concepts, and professional business practices. A minimum of three courses must be completed and passed, and adherence to the NAIFA Code of Ethics is also a requirement. Having such a certification does not automatically mean that an advisor will give you helpful advice. So, consider other qualifications, such as length in the business, and referrals from people you trust. Wayne is affiliated with Producers Connection, LLC, in Memphis, TN, which is an independent insurance brokerage agency that was formed in 2009 by the merger of Milestone Financial Group, Inc. and Life Associates of Memphis, Inc. This agency serves hundreds of Mid South insurance agencies, providing products and expertise. As a regional brokerage manager there for the last 20+ years, he has helped many other independent agents find the right product, company, and solution for their client's needs. And, he has been doing the same thing for his personal clients for over 40 years.

Personal Info
Wayne graduated from Millington Central High School in Millington, TN in 1969, and then attended Memphis State (now University of Memphis). He entered the insurance business in 1974.
Wayne and his wife, Paula, have been married for over 35 years, and live in Shelby County, Tennessee, between Arlington and Millington. Their daughter, son-in-law and grandkids live in the Rosemark community nearby.
